Full-face and motocross, two different approvals
A full-face road helmet and a motocross helmet are not versions of each other.
A motocross shell has a peak, an open face designed for goggles, and a chin bar shaped for airflow at low speed and high effort. A road full-face has a visor, a sealed aperture and a shape worked for noise and stability at speed.
Wearing one where the other belongs is not a preference. It is a helmet doing a job it was not approved for.
The marking on the shell — the label on the retention strap naming the standard, the approval number and the country.
Not the product title, not the family the shelf files it under, and not the description. This site reports what makers publish, and on helmets the published thing that counts is a sewn-in label.
Whether it fits. Shell shape differs between makers by more than a size label suggests, and a helmet that rotates or that presses is a helmet that will not be worn.
ECE 22.06 · ABS shell · one-piece EPS
A full-face with an ABS outer shell over a one-piece EPS liner, sold as ECE 22.06 certified. The maker publishes an explicit note that tinted visors are not intended for road use.
Best for: A mid-priced full-face where the published construction matters more than a brand name.
